Here I am -pulling my excited face- at the purchase of my new Adventure Time t-shirt.
For those of you following who aren't aware of my recent escapades I've generally been doing exactly what I had expected an illustration student to do;
Sit in my room watching cartoons and drawing comics.
Life is sweet guys.

I sometimes tend to forget this blog exists.
But a few weeks ago I visited some places in the early hours of the morning and to help me never forget their existence I thought I'd share them with you. :]

So I'm at this thing called university now.
I feel like at any moment I'm going to wake up and
realise it's all been some wacky dream.
But until then; I might as well make my dream look pretty!
I'm such an illustration student it hurts sometimes.

I have too many toys for a 19 year old.

& children's books.
FUN FACT: Scott Pilgrim is the only DVD I brought with me.

Handmade bunting by my friend Chloe and my cluster of memories.

I have a big jar of seeds and a fluffy llama on my side table.
Obviously this is a friend clincher.

I can see the wolf mask on my wardrobe in the dark and it creeps me out.

My mum knitted my blanket for me. Pretty wicked.

My fantastic contribution to the fridge so far.

I've had such a brilliant time already.
My flatmates and the people I've met and awkwardly introduced myself to
are such beautiful human beings.
(no I'm not just saying that because I'm aware they might be stalking
me in the near future and reading this.)
Excited to....y'know....do some art or something.

Pointless & Precious
Today I've been busying myself with buying final necessities
and packing up little pieces of home.
Yes. Yes, I am taking my fluffy llama.

And what?

So I've been uuuh...packing....for uni.
Contrary to what the above image might convey.

I just wanted lots of brightly coloured things to begin with.

My lovely friend Beth got me the bowl (above) and box set (below)
for my birthday. They're so perfect and happy!

 Happiness!

And well...umm....yes....moving on...

I also bought these special pens that permanently draw onto porcelain!

I've always wanted to design my own plates
so I'll be taking these bad boys to uni with me!

So happy with how the came out!

I can't wait to have my Shreddies with the Cereal Killer.

 DINNER TIME!

Fuzzwald mug! So I'll always remember him whilst I'm away!

 The whole family of bears!

I think biscuit bandit is my favourite.
He better steal no biscuit of mine!!!!

I move into my halls on the 17th (that's a week guys, a week!)
So many mixed emotions but generally just excitement.
I mean, how could I not make friends with such wicked cool crockery?!

#Pointless Pieces

With the money that comes from my new job I've been noticing
myself splash out on particularly pointless bits and pieces.
I thought I'd show you my recent purchases and finds!

Bear Post Card:
I got this in a junk shop when my friend Ed was down.He got one of a sunbear taken at the same zoo.I like the bears knees.

Small Sitting Rhinocat:Another junk shop find. I got him for £1
and he sits on my bedside table and watches me sleep. Its a little creepy if I'm honest.

'Cats Cats Cats Cats Cats' book:And the last of the junk shop things!
This book is like an early version of lolcats.
I'd love to meet the people who put this together.
Its was £1 and a steal!
Sometimes you CAN have too much cheese!

Llama Toy:Hello my name is Maddy, I am almost 19 and I still buy stuffed toys. But he is so fluffy and I fell in love.

Cat Bag and Bear Purse:I got these 2 things for £2 at a bootfair today.
I just thought it was too cute not to buy.

'Mr Bear, Postman' book.
I love looking through the childrens book sections at bootfairsand seeing what I can find.To my utter delight I found this gorgeous book by Kozo Kakimoto (never heard of him/her.)about a bear learning to ride a bike so he can be a postman. The illustrations are completely gorgeous and at only 30p I could not resist!I'm trying to find out more about the illustrator now.Its worth a google though.
Thats all for now. I've been making monsters again and hopefully there'll be some more evidence of that soon.

 Hi.
Been a while hasn't it?
I've been doing lots of things and
will hope to update you on the lots of things
I am intending to do in the near future.
But  the main excuse for my absense is that
I've had a job for the past month or so.
The above picture was taken in the 'office'
I work for a lovely children's illustrator and I can't complain
one bit because it's really giving me an
insight into a world I'd like to be a part of one day.
Oh yes and she owns ducks and the eggs are hatching and its the
CUTEST THING EVER.
I'd love to show you more and talk more about what I'm doing
(its nothing terribly exciting so don't worry)
but cos it's not with my own art or anything I guess
all I can show you is this picture of a duck.Shame right?
